Located right in the heart of the picturesque Elgin Valley, we offer 3 spacious cottages. Recently renovated, the farm style cottages are nestled amongst the fruit orchards.
Our cottages are situated within close proximity to most wedding venues in the area and quickly accessible to the N2 and popular farmstalls. Based on a working fruit farm, aptly named Moortop, as we are one of the highest points in the Elgin valley. It is a family owned and run farm - predominantly farming apples, but also some pears and persimmons.
Offering stunning views of the surrounding Mountains, it is the perfect place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Just a short drive from Cape Town, one can switch off surrounded by nature or indulge in a variety of outdoor activities if you’re feeling more adventurous.
Panorama Cottage - the name says it all. Named after the sweet Early Golden Delicious apple, this cottage provides you with a "panoramic" view of the surrounding Groenberg Mountains. With the orchards quite literally on your doorstep, one can enjoy the most spectacular early sunrises. This 2-bedroomed cottage has a spacious deck along with a private garden braai facility.
Granny Smith Cottage
The quaint Granny Smith Cottage is named after this crisp green apple which we farm (a first choice when making home-made apple crumble!) The cottage has 2 bedrooms and its own undercover braai facility, ensuring this favourite South African pastime can be enjoyed during rain or shine.
Sundowner Cottage shares its name with one of the most delicious apples on our farm. This cottage enjoys picturesque views and sunsets over the Kogelberg mountains. There are 2 bedrooms and a private undercover braai facility and court yard.
Private braai facility
Each cottage has its own private braai (barbecue) facility, either undercover or nestled in the garden.
Cozy inside fireplace
Each cottage has its own cast iron fire place. Perfect for warming the cottage during chilly Elgin winters.
Each cottage is equipped with a fridge/freezer , a 4 plate stove/oven and a microwave. As well as all the other essentials.
Each cottage has access to free wifi.
Each cottage has 1 spacious bathroom with a toilet, basin and shower.
Each cottage has 2 bedrooms. One with a queen bed and the other with 2 single beds.
